Adedayo Olowoniyi – Team Lead, Nigeria Mission 300 Compact Delivery and Monitoring Unit
Adedayo Olowoniyi is the Team Lead of Nigeria’s Mission 300 Compact Delivery and Monitoring Unit (CDMU), where he coordinates the implementation and monitoring of Nigeria’s National Energy Compact. He also serves as Technical Adviser to the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Technical Adviser to the former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo A. Adelabu.
Dayo is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Richmond American University, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, and a Master’s degree in Finance from Webster University.
With over 20 years of experience across the energy value chain, Dayo has led multicultural teams and developed strategies to support business growth and power-sector development across Africa. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche in London, providing audit services to manufacturing and energy companies.
As ABB’s first Nigerian Chief Executive Officer and Country Manager, he played a significant role in the unbundling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria. He later served as Vice President at MAN Diesel & Turbo, overseeing major power projects across Africa, including the 95 MW Thika power plant in Kenya and an 80 MW power plant in Niger.
Dayo brings extensive international experience gained across the United Kingdom, the United States, Nigeria, Switzerland, and South Africa.
