Ardo Hamet Ali Ba
Ardo Hamet Ali BA is an energy executive with over 14 years of expertise spanning petroleum supply, commodity trading, refinery logistics, and risk management across African and global markets. He currently serves as Business Development Manager at Imperatus Energy, based in Dubai, where he leads strategic expansion, market development, and commercial partnerships across the energy value chain.
In this role, he also leads trade finance, structuring credit lines, letters of credit (LCs), and tailored financing solutions to address liquidity challenges and facilitate cross-border energy transactions across the continent.
Prior to joining Imperatus Energy, Ardo spent over a decade at the Société Africaine de Raffinage (SAR) in Senegal—a cornerstone of West African downstream infrastructure. As Petroleum Supply and Commercial Manager, he directed end-to-end crude and refined product supply chains, managed complex vessel operations, executed benchmark hedging strategies (Platts), and served as key liaison to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. His background also encompasses corporate audit and financial control at Ernst & Young and Orange Group.
Ardo holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Commodity Trading from the University of Geneva and a Master’s in Finance and Auditing from Clermont Business School. Combining ground-level refining supply chain experience in West Africa with structured trade finance expertise from Dubai, Ardo offers deep, practical insights into project bankability, capital allocation, and regional supply security.
