Brent is the President of Chevron’s Offshore business, based in Houston. He previously served as Vice President, Gulf of America, in Covington, Louisiana from December 2022 to June 2025. Brent joined Chevron in 1998 as a facilities engineer in New Orleans for the Gulf of Mexico business. Over the next several years, he held a variety of engineering and operations roles focused on the Gulf before relocating to Midland in 2007 where he served as Operations Manager for several Permian Basin fields.

In 2010, Brent took the role of General Manager, Strategy and Planning, for the Asia South Business Unit in Bangkok and, two years later, became Deputy Asset Manager for Thailand’s gas assets. In 2014, he moved to Jakarta to serve as Senior Vice President of Chevron’s Geothermal and Power and non-operated oil and gas business in Indonesia and the Philippines. In 2016, Brent joined the Mid-Continent Business Unit in Houston to lead Chevron’s Permian development programs as General Manager, Asset Development. In 2020, Brent became General Manager, Operations, for the Mid-Continent Business Unit, leading the operations, facilities engineering, and base business organizations for
