Brian McCabe is the Head of 451 Research at S&P Global Energy. 451 Research delivers data-driven insights, syndicated research, and strategic advisory services across established and emerging technology segments – AI, Data Centers & Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, InfoSec, IoT, Data & Analytics, and Quantum Computing. Prior to joining 451 Research, Brian served as the Senior Director of Enterprise Strategy and Interim Head of Strategy & Business Management at S&P Global Energy responsible for developing and executing the short- and long-term strategic objectives of the business, including organic growth strategy, investment planning, M&A and strategic partnerships. He also served as the Chief of Staff to the President at S&P Global Energy from 2023-2025. Since joining S&P Global in 2017, Brian has held a series of leadership positions, including in the Integration Value Capture Office – where he focused on merger integration and synergy realization – and in Global Finance, Strategy, and FP&A across the Platts and Market Intelligence divisions. Prior to joining S&P Global, Brian led Global Financial Planning and Strategy at New York University, gaining deep experience in international finance and strategic leadership. Brian holds a B.S. in Accounting & Business Administration from Sacred Heart University and has received executive certifications from MIT and the University of Pennsylvania.
