Funlola Abe Folukoya is the Head of Trading & Origination at bp Southern Africa (bpSA). Based in Johannesburg, she leads the execution of the region's trading strategy, driving commercial growth across the oil value chain through the origination and delivery of structured trading opportunities.

Over an 18-year career in oil trading, origination and commercial leadership, Funlola has established herself as a trusted commercial leader, combining deep market expertise with a proven ability to structure complex transactions, build strategic partnerships and create value across multiple oil products, markets and geographies.

Funlola holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Imperial College London and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is passionate about Africa's continued development and the critical role that energy, infrastructure and industry play in unlocking economic growth and improving lives across the continent. She is equally committed to developing diverse talent, building high-performing teams and fostering sustainable partnerships that create lasting value for customers, communities and stakeholders.

Outside of work, Funlola enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, playing squash and exploring emerging technologies and their potential to transform industries.
