John Sendama is a Partner at the law firm Mishcon de Reya LLP in London, where he is Head of the firm's multi-disciplinary Africa Group. With over 15 years' experience, he acts in complex cross-border disputes, fraud and asset recovery, advising companies, investors and governments on protecting and recovering value when transactions and projects go wrong across multiple jurisdictions.

His work includes disputes in the energy and natural resources sectors across a number of African jurisdictions. He also sits on the Management Board of the International Fraud Group, a network of 58 specialist law firms across 68 jurisdictions.

His particular interest is in what makes African energy and industrial projects investable, from contract certainty and state counterparty risk to enforcing rights across borders.
