Katrin Puetz is the innovator of ccCASH, Africa's first digital clean cooking currency and climate finance platform, that pays households for clean cooking, and of (B)energy, an international biogas company, built without donor or aid dependency. Over more than 15 years, she has built a commercial track record across Africa, holds several patents, and has been recognized with multiple awards for her work. Through (B)energy, she introduced certified household biogas technology to Europe, among the very first to do so. Through ccCASH, together with partners, she is now pioneering a new financing model for the cooking energy sector, working with governments and institutions across borders to shift the sector's mindset from aid to investment. She is currently seeking off-takers for the impact generated through clean cooking, and welcomes the conversation.
