Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Keryn is responsible for delivering technical, commercial and strategic insights on African basins.

Keryn brings a dynamic perspective gained from over 20 years work experience across different sectors. Prior to joining IHS Markit (now S&P Global) she worked for Tullow Oil where she contributed towards successful oil exploration projects with basin opening discoveries in the East African Rift and frontier onshore exploration campaigns along the West African transform margin. She has also held technical exploration and production roles, with underground mining experience at Samancor Western Chrome Mines, and alluvial diamond exploration and mining expertise as project geologist for De Beers Marine in the Orange Subbasin offshore South Africa.

Keryn has a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Cape Town.
