A graduate of the “Ecole Supérieure de Commerce d'Abidjan” (ESCA), Marie-Joséphine Sidibé also trained in mutual fund management, before starting a career in banking.

She began her career at Société Générale, in France and then in Côte d'Ivoire, before joining the world of hydrocarbons in 1991. A radical change and the beginning of a beautiful rise.
She spent 30 years at the Société Ivoirienne de Raffinage (SIR) until her appointment in 2021 as head of the Société Multinationale de Bitumes (SMB).
