Vice President bp Senegal

Massaer Cisse is the Vice President and Head of Country for Senegal at bp, overseeing the company’s operations and strategic initiatives in the country, including the landmark Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) LNG project. He joined bp in June 2021, succeeding Géraud Moussarie in leading the company’s Senegal business.

Prior to joining bp, Cissé served as General Manager of Lekela Power Senegal, a renewable energy generation company, where he played a key role in advancing clean energy initiatives in the region. Earlier in his career, he held several commercial and operational leadership positions at Deloitte, including Director of Deloitte Senegal, as well as senior management roles in the United States.

With extensive experience across the oil, gas, renewable energy, and advisory sectors, Cissé has contributed significantly to Senegal’s evolving energy landscape, particularly in promoting local content development, sustainable energy growth, and regional energy cooperation. Under his leadership, bp Senegal has continued advancing the GTA LNG project while strengthening partnerships with government and industry stakeholders.
