Mouhamadou Diop is the Chief Executive Officer of Petrosen Trading & Services, the downstream arm of Senegal’s national oil company. Since assuming leadership in June 2024, he has spearheaded a comprehensive restructuring of the company, positioning it as a key player in the supply and distribution of petroleum products across the national value chain. Prior to this role, Mr. Diop accumulated over 20 years of experience in international financial markets. He led trading desks at global investment banks on Wall Street, including Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and the Royal Bank of Canada, managing derivatives portfolios with a notional value exceeding USD 10 billion. He holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University, and engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
