Mr. Pierre Eric NKOA NKOA is a seasoned geoscientist and petroleum explorationist with 20 years of experience at the Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH), the NOC of Cameroon. Head of the Geosciences Department since 2022 and Deputy Exploration Manager since 2025, he shapes the corporation’s exploration strategy, leads geological and geophysical interpretation for prospective resources assessment, promotes Cameroon’s acreage through data rooms and licensing rounds, and takes part in petroleum contract negotiations. Throughout his career, he has contributed to multidisciplinary exploration teams behind major discoveries, including the Yoyo gas field (GIIP 2.6 TCF) with Noble Energy, and the Padouk and Oak oil discoveries in the Rio del Rey basin with ADDAX Petroleum. He also serves as Rapporteur of the Permanent Commission for the Evaluation of Oil and Gas Tender Offers, member of the Technical Task Force of the Cameroon Oil and Gas Contract Negotiation Commission, and Rapporteur of the Technical Task Force monitoring the strategic Yoyo-Yolanda cross-border gas unitization project (Cameroon-Equatorial Guinea). A committed educator and researcher, Mr. NKOA NKOA has been an Associate Lecturer at the University of Yaoundé I since 2017 and has co-authored several peer-reviewed papers in journals such as the AAPG Bulletin and Marine and Petroleum Geology. He holds a Professional Master’s Degree (DESS) in Applied Geology and Geophysics from the University of Yaoundé I (Cameroon) and is a member of AAPG, SEG and SPE
