Roderick Bruce is an Associate Director and Africa Lead with the Energy Terms and Risk (EnTR) team at S&P Global Energy, specializing in forecasting and benchmarking above-ground risks in sub-Saharan Africa’s upstream oil and gas sector. Roderick's recent work has focused on analyzing the shifting political and operational environments of Angola, Mozambique, Namibia and Senegal, among others. He provides insight into emerging industry trends through regular research notes and maintains in-depth country profiles and political/economic risk assessments. Roderick has two decades of experience in the energy sector as a consultant, research analyst, and business journalist. In that time, he has gained in-depth understanding of key issues affecting the oil and gas, LNG, gas and power, and refining sectors across various geographies. Roderick holds a Master of Arts from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.
