Sebastião Gaspar Martins is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonangol E.P., a position he has held since May 2024.

With more than four decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, he has held several senior leadership positions at Sonangol, including Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of  Sonangol Exploration & Production. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Somoil.

He holds a degree in Mining Engineering, specialising in Petroleum, from Agostinho Neto University, and has undertaken additional training at international institutions in the sector. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Italian.
