Thabo Molekoa is Chairman and Managing Director for Siemens Energy Southern and Eastern Africa. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, a Certificate in Corporate Governance and a PhD in Business Leadership. With more than 22 years of professional experience across over 40 African countries, he has held senior leadership roles in industrial, infrastructure and technology-focused organisations, including Thyssenkrupp, DuPont, Saint-Gobain and De Beers Diamond Mines. His experience spans technical projects, industrial maintenance, plant construction, mining and cement equipment, automotive, elevators, submarines, growth strategy and organisational leadership. Recognised in 2017 as one of Africa’s Captains of Construction and Infrastructure, Thabo also serves on the Advisory Board of the Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a member of South Africa’s Member Committee of the UN-accredited World Energy Council. His work is grounded in the belief that a climate-neutral energy society is technologically feasible, commercially practical and socio-economically worthwhile.
