This session examines how (GTL) solutions leverage domestic natural gas as a strategic feedstock for fertilizer production, specifically ammonia and urea. Utilising local gas resources shields African agricultural sectors and economies from volatile global pricing while directly reducing reliance on imported refined fuels. The focus extends to how industrial clusters and SEZs strategically deploy natural gas to provide reliable, baseload energy that powers heavy manufacturing sectors like cement, steel, and glass.
