As African governments accelerate power sector reform, public-private partnerships (PPPs) are playing an increasingly important role in modernising electricity infrastructure, expanding private participation and accelerating investment in generation, transmission, distribution and energy storage. Against the backdrop of market liberalisation, grid expansion and regional interconnection initiatives, this panel will examine how governments, utilities, investors, development finance institutions and technology providers can structure bankable PPPs that de-risk projects, mobilise capital, modernise power systems and deliver reliable, affordable electricity across Africa.
