BGR Tech Brings Gas and Hydrogen Engineering to AEW 2026 as Bronze Sponsor
BGR Tech, an India-based engineering and fabrication company serving the energy industry, will participate as a Bronze Sponsor at the African Energy Week (AEW) 2026 Conference and Exhibition, taking place from October 12-16 in Cape Town. The sponsorship reflects the rising role of specialist suppliers in turning Africa's gas and clean-fuel ambitions into working plants.
Much of the continent's gas still goes stranded or flared for want of the facilities to handle it. Capturing that gas for power generation, industry and export depends on processing trains, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and skid-mounted units, the engineered hardware that BGR Tech designs and fabricates in-house at its plants in southern India.
The same demand is emerging in the clean-energy sector. Africa has set out one of the world's largest green hydrogen pipelines, an estimated $194 billion across 78 planned projects, many of them in arid coastal zones where production hinges on desalinating and treating seawater. Both the hydrogen units and the water systems those projects require sit within BGR Tech's growing renewable-energy line.
What the company offers African developers is the ability to take a project from design through fabrication under one roof, backed by more than four decades of sector experience among its founders. This integrated model stands to become particularly valuable across the continent, where developers increasingly prioritize partners that can reduce execution risk, shorten project timelines and ensure reliable delivery across complex energy infrastructure projects.
“Africa's energy future rests on both its gas resources and newer fuels like hydrogen, and realizing it takes partners who can deliver the technology behind them,” says NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber. “Bringing engineering and manufacturing capacity to the continent is part of how we turn resources into power, industry and jobs.”
As a Bronze Sponsor at AEW 2026, BGR Tech is expected to take part in discussions on gas monetization, green hydrogen and the technology partnerships supporting Africa's energy growth. The conference enables strategic partnerships across gas, hydrogen and industrial infrastructure, helping accelerate project execution through direct engagement with the engineering and technology partners needed to move projects from concept to delivery. In this way, AEW continues to play a central role in translating Africa’s energy ambitions into investable, executable developments.
