Imperatus Energy Takes Silver Sponsor Role at AEW 2026 to Showcase African-Led Energy Growth

Petroleum products company Imperatus Energy has confirmed its participation as a Silver Sponsor at African Energy Week (AEW) 2026, taking place from October 12–16 in Cape Town. As the continent’s premier energy event, AEW 2026 serves as a platform for investment mobilization, deal-making and policy dialogue aimed at advancing African’s energy development and reducing energy poverty.

At AEW 2026, Imperatus Energy will be positioned to showcase its expanding portfolio across upstream, midstream and downstream segments, including the latest developments in energy infrastructure, natural gas monetization, regional supply chains and cross-border commercial integration. The company’s participation comes as it accelerates its transformation into a fully integrated energy player supporting the Republic of Congo’s objective of increasing national crude oil production to 500,000 barrels per day.

The sponsorship follows a period of rapid international engagement for the company. In March 2026, Imperatus Energy conducted an economic mission across Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland aimed at strengthening relationships with financial institutions, investors and strategic partners interested in African energy infrastructure projects.

Over the past year, Imperatus Energy has also advanced a strategy focused on developing a complete energy value chain. The company aims to create an upstream division, Imperatus Energy Exploration & Production, to pursue exploration opportunities and optimize mature oil and gas assets. The subsidiary’s strategy will focus on enhancing production from brownfield and marginal fields through modern technologies and enhanced oil recovery techniques.

Natural gas has emerged as a major pillar of the company’s growth strategy. Imperatus Energy is expanding into gas sourcing, marketing and LNG-related activities while supporting the Republic of Congo’s efforts to monetize gas resources under the country’s evolving regulatory framework. The company views natural gas as a key fuel for industrialization, electricity generation and lower-emission energy development across Central and West Africa.

Alongside upstream expansion, Imperatus Energy continues to strengthen its logistics and trading capabilities. Through its Pointe-Noire-based subsidiary, Centurion Logistic, the company manages petroleum transportation and distribution networks while pursuing investments in storage infrastructure, marine bunkering and fuel supply facilities. The company also maintains rigorous product testing and traceability standards across its fuel and aviation product portfolio.

To support international trading operations, Imperatus Energy has established strategic hubs in Geneva and Dubai. These offices facilitate commodity trading, compliance management, structured finance and cross-border transactions. The company additionally provides trade finance solutions, including deferred payment structures, letters of credit and multi-currency foreign exchange mechanisms designed to address liquidity constraints facing African energy buyers.

“Imperatus Energy’s evolution from a downstream trader into an integrated energy player spanning logistics, trading, infrastructure and upstream development demonstrates the kind of entrepreneurial leadership needed to unlock Africa’s energy potential,” says NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman, African Energy Chamber.

As Imperatus Energy continues to expand its footprint across Africa and international trading hubs, AEW 2026 will offer a strategic venue to showcase its integrated growth model and long-term investment priorities. The event is expected to strengthen the company’s engagement with financiers, technology providers and government stakeholders while highlighting its role in advancing regional infrastructure, natural gas development and sustainable energy access throughout the continent.
