PANTRACO Partners with AEW 2025 to Boost Intra-African Trade, Investment
The Pan African Intra Trade and Investment Council (PANTRACO), a non-governmental organization, has joined African Energy Week (AEW) 2025: Invest in African Energies as a Partner, further cementing its role as a connector for governments, businesses and investors across Africa. AEW: Invest in African Energies 2025 will take place on September 29-October 3 in Cape Town and serves as the premier platform for advancing Africa’s energy and investment landscape.
This partnership underscores PANTRACO’s commitment to driving economic growth, strengthening intra-African trade and facilitating foreign investment into strategic sectors such as oil, gas, mining and infrastructure. With operations in over 45 African countries and partnerships in North America, Australia and Europe, PANTRACO’s global reach ensures African markets are directly linked to international value chains.
The Council recently collaborated with the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation and the government of Guinea for an information session on the Simandou 2040 Project – a $20 billion investment aimed at establishing Guinea as a leading iron ore producer. This engagement highlights PANTRACO’s involvement in facilitating large-scale resource development projects and its ability to bridge governments, investors and businesses on cross-border initiatives.
In addition, the Council works closely with African governments to support pro-trade policies, partners with chambers of commerce to empower local enterprises and collaborates with financial institutions to unlock funding for critical projects. Its alignment with international organizations such as the African Union, UN and World Bank further ensures its activities reinforce continental development and integration goals.
“PANTRACO brings a unique ability to connect governments, investors and businesses across Africa, creating tangible opportunities for trade and project development. Their focus on business pairing, project structuring and incubation directly supports Africa’s economic integration and industrial growth,” said Tomás Gerbasio, VP of Commercial and Strategic Engagement at the African Energy Chamber.
By partnering with AEW 2025: Invest in African Energies, PANTRACO is set to amplify opportunities for trade, investment and project development across Africa’s energy and industrial value chains. The partnership strengthens the council’s mission of connecting regional markets, unlocking growth and positioning Africa as a competitive player in global trade.
AEW: Invest in African Energies is the platform of choice for project operators, financiers, technology providers and government, and has emerged as the official place to sign deals in African energy. Visit www.aecweek.com for more information about this exciting event.
