Chief. Tony Attah

A seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Engr. Tony Attah holds a Mechanical Engineering degree (1987) from the University of Ibadan and an MBA (1997) from the University of Benin. His leadership development includes programmes at IMD-Geneva; INSEAD, France; Harvard, and Cambridge (UK), complemented by specialist training in oil and gas exploration and production, HSE, business economics, maintenance engineering, auditing, project management, and gas processing. Engr. Attah began his career in manufacturing (Sokoto Cement Company, 1988) before joining The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) in 1991 as a Maintenance Engineer. His early career involved significant technical exposure in maintenance, production, engineering, and major projects (including the Forcados Terminal and Sea Eagle Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel – FPSO). He later served as Head of Joint Venture Economics (2000-2004) and Asset Superintendent for the critical Soku Gas Plant. From 2007, Engr. Attah held international roles at Royal Dutch Shell headquarters in the Netherlands, overseeing Shell's operational readiness and assurance for the Sakhalin project in Russia and Shell's Sub-Saharan Africa project portfolio. He provided crucial technical and leadership support for major projects like Sakhalin Energy Phase II, Bonny Terminal Integrated Projects, Afam gas and power, and the Gbaran Ubie Integrated Oil and Gas project in Nigeria.
