Dave Campbell is the SVP for Mauritania and Senegal (M&S), overseeing bp’s projects in the region, including the cross-border Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) LNG mega-project. Dave has previously worked in a range of technical and leadership roles in bp, most recently as VP Production for Asia Pacific. In this role, Dave was responsible for overseeing the safe startup of the Tangguh Expansion Project, and he will now be applying this expertise to GTA. Throughout his 30+ years with bp, Dave has directed major projects globally, showcasing his adaptability across diverse operational landscapes in Oman, Egypt, Canada, Spain, and the USA. Overseeing various projects spanning process plant operations, startups, and high-hazard assets, Dave, a Chartered Chemical Engineer, has consistently prioritised safety and efficiency, driving operational excellence. He has also demonstrated comprehensive relationship management when fostering collaborations with government entities, notably during the establishment of the first bp business unit in Oman.
