Dr. Taher Najah is the Director of Research at the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO), headquartered in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. A chemical engineer with an MSc and PhD in Reaction and Separation Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, he brings over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His career includes over 30 years in the Libyan oil sector and seven years at the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna. At APPO, he leads research initiatives, focusing on energy policy, renewable energy, and the development of National Oil Companies (NOCs) across 18 African member countries.
