Eng. Stephen Dihwa has over 30 years of experience in the power sector. He began his career with the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) in 1988, rising through the ranks to become Business Development Director of the Transmission subsidiary by 2007.

In 2007, he worked as a System Planning Advisor at EdM in Mozambique, before joining NamPower in Namibia, where he served from 2008 to 2012 as Senior Manager responsible for Planning, and later Renewable Energy & System Integration.

From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a Consultant Power Engineer for the African Development Bank in Zimbabwe. He then served as Principal Director in the Ministry of Energy and Power Development of Zimbabwe from 2016 to 2017.

Eng. Dihwa joined the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) Coordination Centre in December 2017.
