Engr. Chris Ijeli is the Managing Director/CEO of Dorman Long Engineering Limited, a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company in Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Water, Wastewater, and Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Benin. With over 36 years of robust, multifaceted industry experience, Engr. Ijeli has made his mark in project management, sales engineering, contracting, construction, and fabrication across the oil & gas, manufacturing, and allied sectors. His expertise spans the full EPC spectrum, including flow station development, gas compression and handling plants, structural steel works, pressure vessel fabrication, modular process equipment integration, and marine structures. He has represented Dorman Long Engineering on several national and international platforms, notably as a delegate on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s Local Content Development Consultative Forum to Angola in 2003, and as a member of the National Consultative Forum for Fabrication from 2005 to 2008. A COREN-registered engineer, Engr. Ijeli is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE International). He is also an alumnus of the Dupree Institute of Project Management and the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, and holds executive education credentials from Lagos Business School (AMP 18, CEP 24), Pan-Atlantic University.
