Fatoumata Sanogo a petroleum production engineer trained at the Institut National Polytechnique Houphouet-Boigny in Yamoussoukro and holder of an Executive MBA, the first woman to "officially" take the helm of Société Nationale d'Opérations Pétrolières de Côte d'Ivoire (PETROCI HOLDING). Her exceptional career has taken her to key positions in Africa, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. She has over two decades of professional experience with major international companies, including EXXONMOBIL, TotalEnergies, ENI and HALLIBURTON. In the early 2000s, she worked as a Senior Engineer at Schlumberger, where she was involved in the design, execution and evaluation of technical operations related to oil wells. In August 2011, she joined OMV PETROM, an Austrian company, as Senior Production Engineer. There, she took on responsibilities such as mentoring new engineers and designing well completions in the Black Sea. She joined TotalEnergies in 2013, where she enjoyed remarkable progress in various positions of responsibility, notably in Angola, Algeria, Scotland and France. Since July 18, 2023, she is the Managing Director of Société Nationale d'Opérations Pétrolières de Côte d'Ivoire (PETROCI HOLDING). Fatoumata Sanogo is fluent in several languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish and Romanian. She is an inspiration to all who cross her path, a woman of exceptional stature whose success reflects her passion, determination and love for what she does.
