Grant Berndsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Terra Firma, a leading renewable energy company in Southern Africa. With over 20 years of experience in the development, construction, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects across sub-Saharan Africa, Grant specializes in utility-scale, commercial, and industrial energy markets, focusing on captive energy solutions for private customers. Before joining Terra Firma, Grant served as Vice President of Development at Solaire Direct (Engie), where he led the development of a 1 GW solar PV pipeline and secured two successful bids in South Africa’s REIPPPP. He also held the position of Director at Infrastream, an advisory and project development company supporting private energy projects across Africa.
