H.E. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima is a seasoned Equatoguinean energy leader with over two decades of experience in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. He served as the Minister of Mines, Industry, and Energy of Equatorial Guinea from 2012 to 2023, during which he played a pivotal role in positioning the country as a significant oil and gas producer in Sub-Saharan Africa. His tenure was marked by initiatives aimed at industrialization, local content development, and regional energy integration. In 2023, he transitioned to the role of Minister of Finance, Economy, and Planning . Currently, Obiang Lima serves as the President of the Strategic Partnership and Funding Committee for the Central African Pipeline System (CAPS). CAPS is an ambitious regional energy infrastructure project aimed at enhancing energy access and integration across Central Africa. Under his leadership, the project has gained significant momentum, with a comprehensive feasibility study underway to guide its technical and environmental framework
