As CEO of Liberty Coal, he combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive operational performance and sustainable growth. He holds a B-Tech in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from GIBS. His career spans senior roles at Sasol Mining, BHP’s Middelburg Mines, Optimum Coal, and Glencore’s iMpunzi operations, where he served as Operations Manager and General Manager. With extensive experience in underground and opencast mining, Chauke is recognized for his focus on safety, operational excellence, people development, and mentoring the next generation of mining professionals.
