Hon. Natangwe Paulus Ithete is a Namibian politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industrialisation, Mines, and Energy, a position he assumed on 21 March 2025 under President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare Professional Career From 2002 to 2015, Ithete worked as a Valuation and Inspection Officer at the Agricultural Bank of Namibia. He also held leadership roles in the Namibia Financial Institutions Union (NAFINU), serving as Deputy National Secretary from 2005 to 2013 and Vice President from 2013 to 2015 Political Career Ithete entered politics in 2015 as a member of the National Assembly representing the SWAPO party. He served as Deputy Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2020 under President Hage Geingob . From 2020 to 2025, he chaired the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economics and Public Administration. In March 2025, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industrialisation, Mines, and Energy Current Roles and Responsibilities As Minister of Industrialisation, Mines, and Energy, Ithete oversees Namibia's efforts in managing mineral resources and advancing industrialisation and economic diversification through value-addition initiatives .
