Presently, John Andrew Hamilton holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Panoro Energy ASA. He is also on the board of Magnora ASA. He previously held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Molecular Energies Plc, Managing Director at Levine Capital Management Advisors Ltd. and Group Finance Director at Imperial Energy Corp. Plc. Mr. Hamilton received an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College (New York) and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management. John Hamilton has considerable experience from various positions in the international oil and gas industry, with extensive experience in Africa. John has been CEO, CFO and Non-Executive Director of several FTSE, AIM, and Oslo Stock Exchange companies. John was previously Managing Director of Levine Capital Management, an oil and gas investment fund. He was also Chief Financial Officer of UK FTSE 250 listed Imperial Energy PLC, until its sale for over USD 2 billion in 2008. John also spent 15 years with ABN AMRO Bank in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The majority of his time with ABN AMRO was spent in the energy group, with a principal focus on financing upstream oil and gas. John is also a member of the Board of Magnora ASA, a renewable energy developer based in Norway. John has a BA from Hamilton College in New York, and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and New York University. He is a British citizen and resides in London, UK.
