Leste Aihevba, a seasoned Oil and Gas Executive with 30+ years of experience, began his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Shell International E&P, where he spent 20 years in roles of increasing responsibility in Nigeria, the Netherlands, Oman, and the USA. Post Shell, he has held senior leadership roles with BP America, Well Integrity TA-2; Kuwait Oil Company, Senior Consultant to the CEO; Cairn E&P, India, Head of Petroleum Engineering; BHGE-USA, Global SME for Upstream Digital Transformation, and Energia, Nigeria as MD/CEO. With several industry firsts to his credit, including the first-ever level-6S multilateral, first-ever ESS in a horizontal well, and first-ever combination of swellable packers and ICVs in a 5-legged Multilateral well, he is renowned for delivering best-in-class performance improvements in Field Development, WRFM, Portfolio Optimization, Petroleum Economics, Strategic Cost Leadership, Sustainability, Community Relations, Stakeholder Management, and Digital Transformation. Currently the Chief Technical Officer for Asharami Energy, a Sahara Upstream company, he has responsibility for development of the company's seven active assets spread across the Niger Delta where he provides full operational and management coverage for the five sole operated assets and technical oversight to the two JVs, focused on increasing the company's gross production to over 300Mbopd, Gas Monetization, Energy Transition and Sustainability. A member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), he graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with a First-Class honours degree and holds an MBA from the Colorado Technical University, USA.
