Mariam Nampeera Mbowa is the Deputy General Manager of TotalEnergies EP Uganda, where she plays a senior leadership role overseeing key aspects of the company’s upstream oil and gas operations in Uganda, including administration, human resources, legal and compliance, procurement, and national content development.

She has extensive experience in the energy sector across multiple jurisdictions and has held senior legal, commercial, and leadership roles within major international energy companies. Prior to her current role, she served in leadership positions within Tullow Oil and has also worked with Shell in various legal and advisory capacities across Uganda and international operations.

In her current capacity, she is actively involved in stakeholder engagement, local content development, and strategic implementation of major oil and gas projects in Uganda, including the Tilenga development and related national energy initiatives.

Nampeera holds a background in law and corporate governance, with additional training in petroleum policy and management, and has over two decades of experience in the global energy industry.
