As Head of the Independent Power Producer (IPP) Office, Precious Edward leads the national strategy and execution of South Africa’s energy procurement framework. She oversees policy delivery, financial governance, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) outcomes, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the continued success of the Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (IPPPP).

Precious holds an MBL (Master of Business Leadership) from UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership, a BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from UNISA, and a Diploma in Project Management (University of Cambridge through Damelin).

With her unique blend of legal, technical, and business expertise, Precious brings visionary leadership to South Africa’s energy sector - advancing investment, enabling sustainable infrastructure delivery, and driving meaningful socio-economic transformation through the IPP Programme.
