Rivoningo Mnisi, is the Group Executive for Eskom Renewables and has over two decades of invaluable work experience, with a significant focus on the mining industry and energy. Rivoningo brings over two decades of experience in digitalisation, innovation, strategy, operations and sustainability with a strong background in strategic initiatives execution and operational excellence. His current focus is on delivering an Eskom renewable energy business that will become a significant player in this segment, focussing on work already in progress for an executable initial pipeline of about 2GW renewable energy projects by 2027. He will also lead the advancement of Eskom’s pipeline of more than 20GW of renewable energy projects to diversify its energy mix as part of the emissions reduction strategy. Before joining Eskom, Rivoningo served as Chief Strategy Officer at Exxaro. He has also worked for Anglo American for 10 years in various strategic roles focused on operations turnaround and for 5 years in Manufacturing as a World Class Manufacturing Instructor.
