Roger Tucker is the President and CEO of Meren Energy Inc. (formerly Africa Oil Corp.), a full-cycle independent upstream oil and gas company operating in Nigeria, Namibia, South Africa, and Equatorial Guinea. He became CEO in 2023, leading the company’s rebranding and strategic growth initiatives. Previously, Tucker served as CEO of Africa Oil Corp., overseeing company restructuring and operational streamlining. He has also held senior roles at BG Group, managing European operations, and has experience in private equity and legal sectors, including partnerships at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. He holds a PhD in Sedimentology & Geochemistry and a BSc in Geology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
