Wole Lawuyi is the Chief Investment Officer for Energy Finance at the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). He has over 15 years of experience in investment banking, specializing in energy and infrastructure sectors across Africa. At AfDB, he leads the structuring and financing of energy projects, focusing on renewable energy and off-grid solutions. He has been instrumental in facilitating significant investments, such as the $196 million financing for Globeleq's projects and the $10 million investment in the KawiSafi II Fund through the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA). Lawuyi holds a degree in civil engineering and an MBA, and is known for his commitment to advancing sustainable energy initiatives across the continent.
