Visa and Travel

Visas are not issued at South African ports of entry, and airline officials are obliged to insist on visas before allowing passengers to board. Entry requirements are subject to change and may vary for different nationalities. Please consult your nearest South African Embassy or consulate for further information before travel.

 

To ensure your participation at African Energy Week, we kindly request that you take the following actions:

Review Visa Requirements: Familiarize yourself with the visa requirements for traveling to South Africa as required by the respective authorities.

Registration: Please confirm your registration for the African Energy Week 2024 by registering on our website. Once your registration is confirmed, you will be able to request a Visa Invitation letter. For ministry, media, sponsors, and exhibitors, the team will contact you directly with further information.  

You will need the following if you wish to visit South Africa:

A valid and acceptable passport or travel document for your intended stay
At least one blank page in your passport for endorsements
A valid visa, if required, sufficient funds to pay for your day-to-day expenses during your stay
A return or onward ticket
Yellow fever certificates if your journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa or South America.
